During the morning we shall visit one of the most important monuments of Portugal’s capital and symbol of the Manueline style, the Jerónimos Monastery, built in the 16th century.
The cloisters will open exclusively for FEG members, as the Monastery is usually closed on Mondays.
Free time to visit the famous Belém pastry shop and taste the delicious custard tarts,”pastéis de Belém”.
We shall continue to the Belém Tower and the Discoveries Monument for photo stops.

After lunch we shall walk through the narrow streets of Mouraria and up to the Castle of Saint George for the breathtaking view over the city
This wonderful collection includes painting, sculpture, textiles, furniture and other decorative art forms from the middle ages to the early nineteenth century.
We shall proceed to the National Coach Museum, where we can admire a magnificent collection of horse-drawn carriages from the late 16th to the 19th centuries.
During the afternoon we shall visit the unique Museu Nacional dos Azulejos.
As a ”Farewell to Lisbon” dinner we shall take you to The Bairro Alto area.
Luso and Adega Machado will be delighted to host us for an unforgettable night of Fado, the traditional song of Lisbon that was added to UNESCO’s list of World’s Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2011.
